Founded in 2013, Watershed Alliance of Marin (WAM) is a network of advocacy, communities, education and land conservation organizations working to protect and restore Marin County’s watersheds and the native wildlife nourished by our natural heritage.
Here's what we do:
Watershed Alliance of Marin, is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation. EIN # 46-5026355
We are an all-volunteer organization and rely on your financial support to continue in our work.
We have recently received grants from the Rose Foundation, Marin County Fish and Wildlife Commission and the California Alpine Club Foundation. We are extremely grateful for their generous support of our work. Numerous Individual Donors also make our work possible.
Please see our Advocacy page for our current projects and to contribute to our work.
- WAM is a source for individuals and organizations on how to protect, restore, and steward local waterways.
- WAM serves as a watchdog, alerting agencies and elected officials to potential violations of laws and regulations designed to protect streams, wildlife habitats and species and as a portal for citizen participation.
- WAM engages in advocacy when appropriate through testifying at public meetings, commenting on policy documents, and supporting stakeholder and media outreach.
- WAM provides research, data and scientific references to organizations and individuals to support constructive advocacy and enhance the quality of Marin watershed policy.
